Let Us Build Up The Walls
Nehemiah 2:11-20

Intro: Nehemiah means comforted of God he was a layman and a businessman. He had a job as the Kings cupbearer but his burden was the broken down city of Jerusalem. Nehemiah had to start rebuilding Jerusalem from scratch. The city was in total ruin, stones had to be cleared to start new foundations, and the people were weary from the many days journey back from captivity. They faced ridicule and much opposition. But God was had a job for them. Let us look at some walls we need to build up.

1. Wall of Prayer: 1vs 4

A. a wall of prayer keeps the enemy out
B. a wall of prayer protects us
C. a wall of prayer keeps us from wandering

2. Wall of Partnership: 2vs 12, 17

A. unity together
B. work together
C. assemble together

3. Wall of Praise: 8vs 6

A. thankfulness to the Lord
B. lift up the Lord
C. remember where the blessing come from

4. Wall of Principle: 9vs 2

A. morals
B. separation
C. standards

5. Walls of Priority: 9vs 3

A. God and Gods work first
B. family second
C. church, because families make up the church
