Have Ye Sold Yourselves?
Isaiah 50:1
Intro: Everything comes with a price. The higher the price the more value it has. But there are some things that we sell too cheaply, or maybe ever it gets auctioned off to the lowest bidder. Selling out too cheaply costs us in the long run. Let us look to some things that people sell out too cheaply for, to, and with.
1. Brotherhood: Genesis 37:28
A. Joseph’s brothers sold him out for 20 pieces of silver
B. sold him out because of jealousy, he was a dreamer
C. people will sell out there family for the silliest things
2. Babylonish Garment: Joshua 7:21
A. Achan’s sin was he had to have the things of the world

C. people will sell out their blessing for the things of the world3. Baal: 2 Kings 17:16-17
A. they all left the commandments of the Lord to serve Baal
B. people sell out to the devil

4. Booze: Joel 3:3
A. people sell out to alcohol and drugs
B. real peace don’t come from a bottle or drugs, but from Jesus
5. Bible: Proverbs 23:23
A. people have sold out the bible
B. to most the bible don’t mean a thing
6. Blessed Lord: Matthew 23:3
A. we knock Judas for selling out Jesus for 30 pieces of silver when we sell him out for less
B. we only want the Lord on Sunday or when we are sick
7. Birthright: Genesis 25:33
A. Esau sold his birthright for a bowl of soup
B. people would rather sell out to please the flesh than be spirit filled
C. they fulfill the lust of their own bellie
D. Romans 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Conclusion: The best way to not sell out to cheaply is to not sell at all. My question to you is what are you trying to sell out to, or for?
